Our Staff’s East Central Indiana Favorites

Here at Gateway Hancock Health, we love being a part of the East Central Indiana community. East Central Indiana has so much to offer, and we make sure to take advantage of that! Here are our staff’s East Central Indiana favorites.

The Logistics

We love that Gateway is in such a great location. Whether we’re coming (or going) toward the Eastside of Indy or Greenfield, Gateway is an easy commute. 

The People

Being a part of such an awesome community is a huge perk for us! We love the people that Gateway serves and it’s an honor to be a small part of it. 

Hancock Health, the Healthy365 Connection Center and the Hancock Health Wellness Centers

We may be a tad biased, but one of our favorite things is that all that Hancock Health has to offer is so close. Whether that’s a visit to Hancock Regional Hospital or using the services of the Healthy365 Connection Center or one of our wellness centers, everything is a stone’s throw away.

Leo’s Market & Eatery

We love Leo’s! Whether it is picking up a few grocery items for dinner with our fill-up, or ordering catering for team meetings, Leo’s has something for all of us. We especially love that Leo’s has lots of locally grown and made items!

The Sweet Shop

We can’t resist stopping by the Sweet Shop now and then to indulge in the best donuts “a-round” (or… a Long John, ha!). This is one of our favorites, for sure!

Tuttle Orchards

Having been around for nearly 100 years, Tuttle Orchards is a bit of a legacy in these parts. We love visiting in the warmer months and touring the farm, but it’s also a great spot to pick up a cup of coffee and some great local produce year-round. It’s definitely a staff favorite!

VIP Legacy 9

Three words –  Five. Dollar. Tuesdays. Whether we’re taking our kids to see the newest 3D sensation, or catching a night out with our friends, the theater experience here is hard to beat! And, like Gateway, they keep their prices low on tickets and concessions. No wonder we love Legacy 9! 

Restaurants, Restaurants, and More Restaurants

We love burgers on the patio at Sugar Creek Brickhouse or grabbing some Greek cuisine at Costa’s Grill. Griggsby Station and The Mug both offer delectable local fare, perfect for date nights or catching up with friends. The list goes on!

Events and Festivals

Whether it’s the Riley Festival, holiday events, art fairs and more, East Indy knows how to celebrate life. There’s always something for the kids as well as something for the adults. Find out about upcoming events here.
