Rehabilitation Services
Hancock Well-being at Work – Rehabilitation helps treat and prevent conditions that limit your ability to do daily activities, to sleep, or to work. Used as part of a proactive employer strategy, we can help improve employee productivity and retention.
How can we help?
We offer exercises and therapy to improve mobility and strength. Our therapy treatments include patient education to help you better understand your condition, prevent reoccurrence, reduce pain, and improve mobility.
Physical Therapy
Musculoskeletal conditions are painful afflictions that limit mobility, reducing people’s ability to work and enjoy their lives. Our physical therapists help with specialized exercises and therapeutic techniques designed to enhance strength and flexibility. This targeted intervention can alleviate mobility issues, reduce pain, and improve daily activity.
Conditions we commonly help patients with include:
- Back pain
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Tendinitis
- Headaches or neck pain
- Arthritic or painful joints
- Pre- or post-surgical strengthening
- Joint sprains
- Muscle strains
- Repetitive motion injuries
- Injuries from slips, falls, or other trauma
Ergonomic Assessments
In addition to physical therapy evaluation and treatment, we also offer ergonomic assessments of workstations. These assessments identify and address potential risks or discomfort associated with the physical setup of a workstation, considering factors such as chair design, desk height, computer placement, and overall workspace layout.
By evaluating the work environment’s ergonomic aspects, employers can proactively prevent musculoskeletal disorders and injuries, improve employee comfort, and boost overall job satisfaction.
Supporting Local Employers
In addition to the services available to any patient, Gateway is part of Hancock Health’s Well-Being at Work program. We partner with local employers to help provide affordable health care to employees.
